A friend forwarded this to me, and I am so impressed with this development in Sri Lanka. This is exactly what country wants all over the island to catch up with developing as a country faster.
BUT,…. at the same time-- as spending millions and millions on these good roads, we ALSO need good regulations on how to use these roads. Our driving license service has lot to improve on.
Sri Lanka needs to train all (young and old) drivers to drive within set strict regulations and there has to be action against road driving violations. These departments still carry out the old 'politics' and there are private driving schools that just give driving licenses for money! There are very bad drivers with no idea about ROAD ETHICS. Simply no idea!!
WE NEED improvement on these lines. IF not,…. these lovely roads will not look as lovely in a couple of years, and there will be so many who will have to give life due to poor driving of Stupids on the Road!
We need government controlled, un-politicized, strict road regulations! What do you think? Am I asking too much? :)
