Most Popular Schoolboy Cricketer 2010/11 & his Gift

In the recently concluded 'Observer-Mobitel Most Popular Schoolboy Cricketer of the year' competition, the father of Ramith Rambukwella of Royal College Colombo, has taken about 2 lakhs of newspapers (200,000) from Lake House without paying money. It is learnt, these papers have been taken from the delivery section of Lake House with the mediation of the powerful father. The relevant coupon was published in the 'Sunday Observer', and these coupons had to be sent to elect the 'Most Popular Schoolboy Cricketer of the Y2010/11'.

With the help of these coupons Ramith Rambukwella (who was involved in damaging his own School property last year, and escaped disciplinary action for his misbehaviour during recently concluded England under 19 tour) was able to lead by 50,000 votes than talented Satchitra Perera of Ananda College who was the runner-up.

The beloved father is none other than Government Media Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, who also gifted his son a brand new Porsche Vehicle, considering this feat as a great achievement.

The vehicle imported & cleared recently was brought & parked a few days at the Ratmalana Airport (see pictures below), before it was driven away by the "lucky Schoolboy Cricketer of the year 2010/11".
